While filming this classic grape-stomping scene from the episode “Lucy’s Italian Movie,” Ball reportedly almost choked to death.

Lucy has a hard time deciding on everything from where she wants to sit to what she wants to eat, which doesn’t win her any favor with her extremely frustrated waiter in this clip.

When Ball became pregnant in real life during the second season of the show, producers wrote her condition into the storyline, although they were unable to use the word “pregnant” and instead had to say she was “expecting.” In addition, each episode had to be reviewed by a priest, minister and rabbi to ensure nothing would be seen as offensive to viewers.
