Woman Sells Husband Who Didn't Say Happy Mother's Day

JUPITER, Fla. -- Jupiter mom Katie Bouyea said she was just trying help a family in need, not just punish her husband when she posted a biting Facebook status Monday night.

"Husband for sale, best offer. Hubby who couldn't be bothered to wish me happy Mother's Day or do anything special for me yesterday. One (wo)man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure -- has eight years of marriage mileage so somewhat broken in. Pick up in Jupiter," read the post.

It may seem like the ultimate jab to a husband who forgot Mother's Day, but there's heart to Bouyea's post.

Bouyea said she was online selling garage sale goods to help friend Katie Myers pay off skyrocketing medical bills for her son.

"It ultimately comes back to trying to sell these items for Kaden's benefit," said Bouyea.

Kaden Myers hadn't even turned 1 when he was diagnosed with childhood ALS seven months ago. Katie Myers said they've racked up more than $20,000 in medical bills.

Bouyea had sold about $150 worth of stuff for Kaden when husband Chris suggested she sell him too.

"I knew she was selling a lot to help Kaden, but I didn't know she'd go to the lengths to sell her husband," Myers said "I'm all for it."

Bouyea's husband may not have gotten a gift or card this Mother's Day, but she's hoping he'll fetch a high price for Kaden.

"It's funny for me, and it turned out doing something good," Chris Bouyea said.
