Roy Williams writes letter to 11-year-old fan who was bullied
Roy Williams just made the day for an 11-year-old fan.
Drew Summerlin of Western New York received a penned letter and a signed team photo by North Carolina head coach Roy Williams. Summerlin lives with Asperger's syndrome and was recently hospitalized with a concussion after bullies attacked him last month.
Williams was aware of the incident and decided to help cheer Summerlin up by sending him a letter and photo. In the letter Williams goes on to tell Summerlin how proud he is and how he's handled the situation. Williams has some encouraging words for the 11-year-old:
Was just made aware of this note, signed photo that Roy/UNC Basketball sent to a boy in NY state who's been bullied pic.twitter.com/SkVuJrO69b

We don't know how Williams became aware of the situation, but LostLetterman says that Summerlin was wearing a UNC shirt during his TV interview.
