So here's a thing that's happening -- the date will be a palindrome for nine straight days in May.
You may or may not have understood a word I just said. A palindrome is when something can be read the same way backwards and forwards. Like taco cat ... or race car.

It also applies to dates, and starting on May 10th, 2015, we have 9 palindromes in a row. It only applies to the few countries who use the month/day/year format: Belize, Canada, the Federated states of Micronesia, Kenya, the Philippines, and the United States.



This isn't as rare as it sounds. Since 2011, every year has had a streak like this. And it'll keep happening until the year 2020. In 2016, for example, it'll happen in June. If you want to rain on everyone's nerd parade, you can point out that it doesn't apply if you write the year as a 4 digit number, or the month as a 2 digit number. But come on, just let us have this.
