Dr. Mehmet Oz witnessed a single-car crash Saturday night on the New Jersey Turnpike.

Two people were injured in the crash and when the Westampton emergency response crew arrived they say they found Oz already treating them.

The crew says Oz provided them with details about the patient's' injuries and even helped stabilize one of the crash victim's spines.

"He was very helpful and very thorough, a lot of help to our crew. It obviously was a surprise for them to get on scene and see a TV celebrity helping out the injured people," Westampton Fire Chief Jason Carty, according to NJ.com.

The two people who were hurt suffered minor injuries and are expected to make a full recovery.

It's not the first time Oz has put his medical skills to use for the public. In 2013, Oz rushed from his TV studio in New York City to help a young woman who lost her leg when a taxi struck her.

"You don't have much time. You pour out blood like a fire hose basically when your leg has been severed," he told WNBC.
