Amal Clooney is BFF with George's longtime costar Julia Roberts

Amal Clooney and Julia Roberts are so the new Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss. After George Clooney's longtime costar Julia Roberts tagged along with America's hottest couple on a recent dinner outing, Clooney confirmed that his two leading ladies are now thick as thieves:

"She and Amal and I went out to dinner the other night. It was so much fun to have her meet my wife and have both of them be such good friends and hit it off so well,"Clooney told E! News.

The dinner took place while Clooney and Roberts were shooting "Money Monster"directed by Jodi Foster. The two co-starred in 2001's hit "Ocean's Eleven"and have remained close every since. At the Disneyland premiere of "Tomorrowland", Clooney said of Roberts, "We've been really good friends for a really long time and I just adore her."

Luckily for everyone, though not surprising at all, the two women got along famously. Aside from being beautiful, smart, and refreshingly level-headed, the new power-besties have quite a lot in common.

While Clooney (Amal, that is) is an international rights attorney, Roberts is the goodwill ambassador for UNICEF. They both kill it in their jobs but value family above all else. And, of course, they're both adored by media and fans alike.

We could not be more excited about the budding friendship and look forward to stalking them like crazy as they take over the media sphere one lunch date at a time.
