SAN DIEGO -- A playful but unwanted house guest tried to make a San Diego boat his crash pad for the night.

"I woke up around 2:30 a.m. and heard snoring and sneezing," said sailor Michael Duffy.

Duffy was sleeping on his 41-foot Kittenburg sloop when he stumbled out of bed to see what was going on.

"The sea lion was curled up just like a dog right on the bunk that you sleep on and I was like, 'What?!'" Duffy said. "It was pretty clear to me that this little guy wasn't going to do me any harm, but I didn't want him there. At this point I said, 'I should film this because if I don't, no one is going to believe me.'"

He started filming the sea lion he dubbed Gilligan, all while trying to shoo him out. The reluctant rascal took his time.

"He kept looking back, like every couple of feet and waddle a little bit and he'd turn around and was like, 'Is that ok?' He didn't want to leave," Duffy said.

In all, the ordeal only lasted a few minutes. Gilligan, we can only guess, is now in search of a new Skipper.
