Dear Sheryl Sandberg: Messages of support from mothers around the world

Sheryl Sandberg was recently devastated by the sudden loss of her husband Dave Goldberg on Friday, May 1. In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Sandberg said of Dave "He gave me the experience of being deeply understood, truly supported and completely and utterly loved – and I will carry that with me always. Most importantly, he gave me the two most amazing children in the world."

Sandberg is a brilliant businesswoman, a mother, an author, and so much more. She's been an inspiration to many of us, and now there's a way to support and thank her. Dear Sheryl Sandberg was created by the Founder and CEO of The Mom Complex, Katherine Wintsch, so that mothers around the world can send messages to Sheryl for Mother's Day.

With the holiday falling just 10 days after she lost her husband, those behind "Dear Sheryl Sandberg" know that this year her Mother's Day just won't be what it should be, and have decided to write sentiments and notes to help in this time of need. They're hoping the comments from fellow mothers will bring a bit of light to a dark time in her life.
