Mick Jagger's Grief Over L'Wren Scott's Death

Mick Jagger paid a touching tribute to his late girlfriend, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, on what would have been her 51st birthday on Tuesday.

Scott died in March 2014 from an apparent suicide.

In memory of his partner of 13 years, the Rolling Stones frontman posted a photo of her as a young woman taken by Jean Pigozzi.

Jagger, 71, expressed his grief after Scott, then 49, was found dead in her New York City apartment last year.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way," he wrote at the time. "We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."
