Things got emotional during Jimmy Fallon's interview with Robert Downey Jr. Monday night. Well, kinda.

Jimmy asked the "Avengers" actor to adopt random emotions as they conducted a normal conversation. And Robert got all the feels during their chat.

First, we got a taste of his annoyingly philosophical side when Jimmy asked how he first knew he wanted to act.

"To know is to understand the question is already answered in it's asking." said Robert Downey Jr. on the "Tonight Show."

Then, Robert took things down a notch by acting overly calm.

"I feel like I could just fall asleep on this live show," said Robert.

But then... he smelled bacon.

"I got my hair cut the other day. I got my hair cut right before the show. Right before this show," said Jimmy.

Okayyy, our normal reaction to bacon goes a little more like this...

"Smokey bacon, meaty bacon, tasty bacon!"

But we appreciate the creativity there, Rob.

And so did a writer for People, who claimed, "Robert Downey Jr. could read the phone book and make it a must-watch moment."

Well, at least he didn't walk out during this emotional interview, amirite? Too soon?
