Most popular cat names in America
Maybe "Breakfast At Tiffany's" Holly Golightly didn't want to name her cat, Cat, but most pet owners do. With that in mind, a website compiled a list of the most popular cat names in America.
Earlier this week Rover.com published a list of top pet names and found a majority of pet owners name their cats human names. Not too much of a surprise considering many felines are seen as a part of the family. For the boys: Charlie took the top spot, followed by Jack, Jasper, and Dexter. And for the girls: Lily came out on top, followed by Chloe, Lucy and Bella. All of those names appear on a number of top 100 baby name lists, except Jasper.
Also featured on Rover.com's list are film-inspired felines Elsa, Tinkerbell and Shrek.
If you're looking to come up with a more original name for your kitty companion, go with something a bit different. Or just go along with Holly Golightly.
