Travel Channel names the best family adventures for 2015

Don't just plan a vacation -- embark on an adventure. Travel Channel called in an expert panel of advisors to search for the world's best travel experiences that your whole family will love.

This year's list includes adventures in Alaska, where you can see whales, bears and glaciers on one of Alaska's smaller cruise ships throughout the Inside Passage. (Un-cruise is a popular choice.)

If you prefer tropical vacations, skip the crowds in Costa Rica and go to Panama instead. See the locks of the Panama Canal (which turned 100 last year), then explore the colonial city's architecture and culture. Be sure to check out the family-friendly eco tours in the nearby rainforest.
