"19 Kids and Counting" stars Jill and Derick Dillard finally welcomed their first child this week.

The couple looked over the moon in an Instagram photo with their new son Israel David - despite things not going quite they way they expected.

As you can tell by the photo they're in a hospital - but that wasn't the plan.

Jill, who is a midwife, wanted a natural home birth just like her mom who had some of her 19 kids at home and her sister in law Anna also welcomed her first two children at her abode.

Jill told People Mag last year, "I think home birth is really special because you are in your own environment. You don't have to pick up, move and have that stall labor. I am looking forward to having the calm, intimate setting of being home."

But Israel, whose due date was March 24, arrived two weeks late so his momma needed a little extra medical attention to bring him into the world.

Jill explained in a Facebook video that, in true Duggar family fashion, she turned to the Bible for encouragement.

"Not everything went as expected so we were reminded of the verse that the Bible talks about where man plans his way but the Lord takes his steps. We were encouraged by that."

You can catch baby Israel's first episode on TLC's '19 Kids and Counting' just before Mother's Day on May 5.
