Nina Dobrev makes huge 'The Vampire Diaries' announcement after vacation with cast
The cast of "The Vampire Diaries" celebrated the Easter holiday weekend with a boating trip at Lake Lanier in Georgia, but sadly, it wasn't all fun and games.
Throughout the weekend, Nina Dobrev (aka Elena Gilbert) took to Instagram and Twitter to share many fun moments from the trip with her castmates Kat Graham, Michael Trevino, Matt Davis and Michael Malarkey, and many more.
But late Monday night, Dobrev posted another photo to Instagram announcing she would be leaving the "The Vampire Diaries" after six seasons. Dobrev stated, "It wasn't just a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party."
The 26-year-old actress also confirmed that there will be more to her character's wrap up before her exit from the hit CW series.
Talk about sad news for "Vamp" fans. Dobrev has been a staple on the hit series since it kicked off in 2009 and fans adored the love triangle between her character and the Salvatore brothers played by Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.
Dobrev also famously dated her co-star Somerhalder for three years before they called it quits in May 2013.
