Research has shown that farming practices are more dangerous than we'd imagined. It turns out that birds and bees have been hit hard by pesticides.

Many bees have become so agitated by the chemicals in pesticides that they flee their environment, causing collapses within the colonies. The bee population is seriously dwindling and many beekeepers have lost upwards of 90% of the colonies. Why does this all matter?

Well, bees are responsible for pollinating more than one third of the food humans consume. That's no small matter. Alex Farnham from Animalist News joins DNews to discuss how our food supply could be at risk!
