Paraguay is happiest country on Earth, says survey by Gallup
If you happen to find yourself in Paraguay, you have no excuse not to have the time of your life.
That's because Paraguay is the happiest country on Earth -- at least, according to a survey by the Gallup organization.
It polled people in 143 countries and asked them a variety of questions such as how much they laugh or smile and whether or not they felt well rested.
Paraguay is tops the list followed by some other countries in Central and South America.
On the other hand, if you're feeling grumpy in Sudan, which was at the bottom of the list, don't worry about it. Plenty of other people there are down in the dumps as well.
The United States is just so, so: It makes 15th on the list, tied with 11 other countries, including Canada and Argentina.
