Way to shake it, Patti!
Patti LaBelle put it all out there on Monday's episode of "Dancing With the Stars!"
The 70-year-old superstar shook her groove thang and proved age ain't nothin' but a number as she danced the salsa to 50 Cent's "In Da Club," earning herself a 28 out of 40 for her performance and a plethora of positive comments from the hosts and judges.
LaBelle boogied so hard (she had to hold up her ample chest!), which prompted a funny response from host Tom Bergeron who joked, "Patti LaBelle holding it together, literally in places."
Meanwhile judge Bruno Tonioli likened the "Be Yourself" singer to the sassy record exec Cookie Lyon from "Empire." "So Cookie! So Empire!" Tonioli raved.
While we're not totally sure the Cookie reference works, we're pretty sure that Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie on the hit Fox show, would agree that there was nothing "boo boo kitty" about LaBelle's show-stopping performance.
In her pre-taped interview, LaBelle said that she chose to bust a move to the popular 50 cent hit because when the jam came on at her 70th birthday party, everyone hit the dance floor. Honestly, if we were dancing with Patti, we probably would have too.
