Army Sergeant Paul DiPaolo's family was very excited for him to return home following a seven-month deployment in Afghanistan. Yet, his dog, Simba, may have been the most excited.

Paul's wife, April, and their son met him at the Army compound and headed home to surprise Simba.

The family's five-year-old pitbull had been anxiously returning for his master to come home. They would even chat with each other via Skype while Paul was deployed.

As soon as the family got back home, April snuck into the house and began filming Simba's reactions while Paul waited outside the front door to be reunited with the dog. When Paul opened the door and Simba saw him, the overjoyed pup jumped right into his arms and gave him a greeting the family will never forget.
