Shania Twain opens up about her ex's affair with her friend

On Wednesday night's episode of "Watch What Happens Live," Shania Twain had just one thing to say to her former best friend.

"I wish I'd never met you," said Shania Twain on "Watch What Happens Live."

The country singer revealed back in 2011 her BFF at the time had an affair with her now ex-husband, Mutt Lange.

And, as she wrote in her memoir "From This Moment On," the painful split took its toll on her both physically and emotionally for a long time.

But now, Shania told Andy Cohen doesn't regret the experience. In fact, she claims she's learned a lot from it.

"I think there are just some people in life you would say I wish I hadn't met that person or I would have been better off not knowing that person," said Shania.

And Shania says the alleged affair helped inspire her to work on some new music too. And we definitely aren't complaining about that.

She told Radio.com she has an album in the works, but she won't play any of her new tracks on her farewell Rock This Country tour later this year.

"I want everyone to hear the hits. When I go to a show I want to hear songs that I know. So I won't be introducing any of the new songs from the new music in this concert."

Shania will start touring around the U.S. June 5. And as for her new album, it's still unclear when it will be released.
