Police foiled an Irish terrorist group's plan to bomb the "Game Of Thrones" set.

It could be a plot straight out of the hit HBO series. Irish Republican terrorists in Northern Ireland targeted a Belfast studio currently used for filming "Game Of Thrones." According to officials, the terrorists targeted the former Royal Ulster Constabulary cops who were providing security on set, not the actors or crew. However, an informant tipped off police about the plot months ago.

"Security around Paint Hall was visibly increased," a source told the Belfast Telegraph. "Because of this the dissidents never went ahead with the plan."

Detectives believe Irish Republican sympathizers on the show's crew provided the terrorists with information about ex-RUC officers. At this time, no arrests have been made.
