Teddy Bridgewater was a rookie sensation in 2014 and it's something that has excited the front office so much that they've traded away his backup. Matt Cassel started the 2014 season before being injured and replace by Bridgewater, and his career with the Vikings seemingly ended there.

With Bridgewater firmly in place as the quarterback of the future, the Vikings shipped off Cassel and his remaining $5 million on his contract to a team who's quarterback situation is a little less stable. According to reports, the Buffalo Bills will be sending an undisclosed draft pick to the Vikings in exchange for Cassel and an undisclosed draft pick.

Buffalo is still on a high from trading for LeSean McCoy on Tuesday night, and have bounced back with another trade to shore up their quarterback situation. Cassel won't be a guy who the team will win a Super Bowl with, but he's a serviceable backup who can at least manage an offense that has Sammy Watkins and LeSean McCoy.

This doesn't mean the Bills won't go out and grab Mark Sanchez in free agency, but this may mean that there is more pressure on E.J. Manuel to prove he deserves a roster spot in this new era for the Bills.
