Meredith Vieira Talks Rosie O'Donnell Leaving 'The View'

Meredith Vieira left her position as co-host of "The View" back in 2006, and she says she's not looking to make a comeback any time soon.

So she told Andy Cohen Thursday she was pretty shocked that Rosie O'Donnell is leaving the show for the second time.

"I was totally surprised when I read it, I had no idea. I don't know what the background is, if there's anything more to the story, there usually is. But, I mean, I wish her well, I hope she, whatever she needs to resolve, she does, she's a nice lady, and she's got her kids to care for. Best to her," said Meredith Vieira on "Watch What Happens Live."

Rosie ended her second stint on "The View" earlier this month after returning to the show for a mere five months.

"We've had fun, and I hope we're gonna have more, and I'll come back and do an occasional crafting segment, because I have a hot glue gun, and I will travel. Uh, thank you, it's been really fun! Say bye-bye Dakota!"

Rosie confessed the reason behind her second departure was a health one.

She suffered a heart attack two years ago and is trying to eliminate stress in her life so she can maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Hopefully, Rosie can still keep her stress under control as she deals with her split from wife Michelle Rounds. The two reportedly separated in November.
