'Saturday Night Live': Keenan Thompson trolls Bill Cosby
"Saturday Night Live" has been on for 40 years - that right there is enough to honor the series. But the comedic production of the show and the stars and moments that have been created from the show are unmatchable and that's why this anniversary is such a big deal.
But the show has always been topical and it's something that has kept the show on the cutting edge of satirical comedy for 40 years. That was on full display, even in the special that honored the 40 years of sketches we've seen over the years.
During an amazing throwback sketch that featured the classic Jeopardy characters we've grown to love over the years, Keenan Thompson busted out his Bill Cosby impression for the perfect troll job.
This is why we love SNL and have loved it over the years it's been on. You can't last 40 years without being cutting edge and SNL is proving they can be hilarious even when they're looking back at years gone by.
SNL won't last forever but the show isn't going anywhere anytime soon and this is exactly why.
