A lonely British man will finally have his first ever date, just in time for Valentine's Day.Paul Barry, 21, says he's never been on a date. In fact, he was so desperate to go on his first date he's been walking the streets of Southport, England, with a bouquet of tulips and a sign reading "Will date anyone."
According to the Southport Visiter, Barry enlisted the help of his filmmaker friend Ryan Murphy to document his search for love.
"Throw the sign away and keep your self respect," one pedestrian told him. "You've got more chance of getting a bird. No girl is worth losing your self respect for."
Paul's search started to go viral, and radio station 107.6 Juice FM invited him on-air to share his best qualities with listeners. And it looks like it worked; Barry got a date!
The radio station set him up with a girl named Jodi, and they'll be going out to see "Fifty Shades of Grey" in theatres on Saturday (as if the date was going to be uncomfortable enough.)
His experiences trying to find romance is chronicled in the documentary "Comedy = Tragedy + Paul Barry," which will be released in the next few months.
