On the gridiron, the Ohio State Buckeyes left the inaugural College Football Playoff as champions while, in the professional realm, the Seahawks and Patriots won their respective conference title games to set up a Super Bowl for the ages.

Football around the globe is alive and well with English footy fans braving a blizzard to watch the FA Cup and a much sunnier Australia playing host to the 2015 Asian Cup.

On the ice, Bruins star David Pastrnak made one young fan's day with a generous gift, while on the hardwood, Cleveland's Timofey Mozgov bit off a little more than he could chew of Lakers big man Ed Davis.
