Girl Fakes Death To Get Out Of Date

In an effort to avoid a creeper who kept insisting on a date, a British woman resorted to extreme measures: faking her death.

As the Mirror reports, 29-year-old Ann-Marie Gray met a man through a dating site. They went on a few dates before she realized he just wasn't for her, however, when she tried to cancel a pre-arranged date, he failed to take the hint and messaged her a few days later when he was on his way over.

So what did she do? She played the old "desperately ill in a hospital card," of course!

She messaged her bad date, "Hi there. This is Ann-Marie's sister. I am really sorry to tell you but she was taken into the hospital last night with a very serious illness, so she won't be available for a while. Sorry about that. If or when she comes around and is feeling better, I will get her to message you."

"Ok thanks," he responded. "What ward is she on? I will come and visit her now!" Obviously, he wasn't picking up what she was putting down.

"Well, they are only letting family in at the moment," she added. "So I will let you know when they are allowing visitors."

To which he replied, "I am outside the hospital now. Can I come in if you tell me what ward she is on?" You can see why he failed to pick up on her cancelling their date earlier.

So, she put a nail in the coffin ... by dying. "I am really sorry to tell you but we lost her last night."

Her bad date never responded, that is, he didn't respond right away. He messaged her again a few months later when he caught Ann-Marie on that very same dating website.

Today, she is engaged... and very much alive.
