R2-D2 Was in This Couple's Star Wars Wedding

Cory and Carrie Shields -- as you can see from these photos from Unveiled Wedding Photography -- are one with The Force. Two years after they exchanged vows in a Star Wars-themed ceremony, their pics are going viral.

The galactic nuptials, in which R2-D2 was the dapper ring bearer, took place in a galaxy far far away. It's called "San Diego."

That R2 unit they got came from Astromech. It's comprised of fans that build droids like R2. Cory posted in a forum asking if anyone had a droid available for his wedding -- and he actually got four replies.

The couple boogied like wookiees, not at the Mos Eisley Cantina but at the Admiral Kidd Club. It's conveniently located at a naval base, so all of their intergalactic friends could park their Millennium Falcons and attend.

The couple met while they were both on a Disney college internship.

When Cory told Carrie that her favorite character, Boba Fett, didn't die, but actually crawled out of the Sarlacc Pit, she decided it was love.
