An inseparable Ohio couple not only lived nearly seven decades together, but they also died on the same day.

As the Advertiser-Tribune reported, after spending their entire lives together, 88-year-old Gene Warrington and his wife, 86-year-old Pat, died within hours of each other.

Gene visited his wife in her hospice room and knew she was about to die, telling his son Phil, "Life's not going to be fun anymore."

A few days later, Gene, who was also in hospice care, just gave up on living.

Phil told reporters, "He went back to his room. He laid down and decided to die."

Gene passed away on December 27th -- and eight hours later, Pat also died.

The two met in junior high school and secretly eloped before Gene left for World War Two. When he returned, he said he never wanted to be without her again ... and he wasn't.
