'Star Wars' Actor Dies During Theatrical Rehearsal

A British actor who appeared in film franchises like "Star Wars," "Batman," and "James Bond" died during a London rehearsal.

Khan Bonfils, probably most recognizable as one of Ra's Al Ghul's henchmen in Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins," died Tuesday after collapsing during a rehearsal for a theatrical production of "Dante's Inferno." According to the Telegraph, the director of the production which is still scheduled to open this week, performed CPR but was unable to resuscitate the 42-year-old.

The Craft Theatre company released a statement saying, ''With great sadness, we announce the death of Khan Bonfils. His sudden loss is a tragedy and he will be sorely missed.''

Despite his death, the production hopes to be able to open after just a short delay.

In addition to appearing in "Batman Begins," Bonfils also had a small role in "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" playing member of the Jedi counsel, and appeared as one of henchman in the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall."

Bonfils' cause of death is still yet to be determined.
