Jim Harbaugh is rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes
Jim Harbaugh suffered through a nightmare of a season this past year with the San Francisco 49ers, but he got his dream job after parting ways with the NFL. The Michigan Wolverines hired Harbaugh, and hope that he can lead their football program back to being a legitimate contender and becoming a threat once again to Ohio State.
Brady Hoke did a terrible job with the program over the past couple years, especially, and the hiring of Harbaugh is exactly what the Wolverines needed to get their fan base back with confidence.
Michigan and the Ohio State Buckeyes are long-time rivals, but Harbaugh has made it clear that he will be rooting the Buckeyes on during their National Championship game against the Oregon Ducks.
It is expected to be a very good game between two quality football teams, but Oregon simply didn't show many holes during their sound victory over the Florida State Seminoles.
This isn't exactly what Wolverine fans want to see, but rooting for the Big Ten is something that most Big Ten coaches do, even if it is a rival. It will be interesting to see what Harbaugh is able to do with Michigan over the next few seasons, and whether or not he can turn them back around and make them a legitimate contender again.
That being said, make sure that you tune into the National Championship game. Ohio State is the underdog, but they have a very good all-around team with a quarterback looking to prove himself to the nation. Marcus Mariota has his work cut out for him, and it shouldn't end up being a blowout either way.
