Anderson Cooper has no clue who Tony Romo is
We all know Anderson Cooper is a man of great knowledge.
He is, after all, one of the most widely recognized and successful journalists and television personalities in the country.
But we found out one thing he doesn't know during "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin" Wednesday night: Who Tony Romo is.
"Who is Tony Romo?" asked Anderson Cooper on "New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin."
"Oh boy, this is going to be good," said Kathy Griffin.
"Tony Romo, like the rib restaurant? I've been there!" said Cooper.
"Okay," said Griffin.
Yes, poor Anderson Cooper had no clue who Tony Romo, the quarterback of arguably the most recognized football teams in the U.S., was.
And his co-host for the night, Kathy Griffin, just couldn't stop poking fun at him once she figured out he was serious. Ah, live TV.
The Washington Post called Cooper's hilarious flub "the question of the night."
And those on Twitter thought the mistake was more lovable than embarrassing, with some saying his lack of Tony Romo knowledge made them love Cooper even more.
But hey, at least he was later able to correctly identify LeBron James! We're proud of you, Anderson.
