Michelle Williams Doubles Her Money With Brooklyn Sale
Williams and Ledger bought the ivy-covered townhouse in the Boerum Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn for $3.6 million in 2005. The couple, who were frequently seen strolling the streets with daughter Matilda Rose, were considered pioneers in the celebrity land grab that has gobbled up properties throughout the borough. Most recently, "Girls" creator and star Lena Dunham paid $4.8 million for a four-bedroom condo in Brooklyn Heights.
Williams' brick townhome, at the corner of Hoyt and Dean streets, is 22 feet wide and features a three-car garage -- gold in New York City -- as well as 12-foot ceilings, six bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Williams lived there for several years after she split from "Brokeback Mountain" co-star Ledger in 2007. Ledger died in January 2008 from a drug overdose.
In 2012, Williams moved to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn with then-squeeze Jason Segel. She reportedly now lives on the Left Coast with Matilda.
