Grieving family forced to chase stolen hearse
A family grieving over the loss of a teenager was forced to chase the hearse carrying his body after a man stole the vehicle.
KTLA reports that a hearse containing the body of 19-year-old Jonté Lee Reed was stolen while idling in front of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in south Los Angeles. The family was notified, and they set out in search of the vehicle.
Relatives managed to get the driver to pull over and fought with him both verbally and physically.
Authorities are evaluating the mental condition of the alleged thief, though he will be charged with auto theft.
