Man finds bags of rocks in place of PlayStation
A Denver man says he got a big surprise when he opened up the Christmas gift he'd bought for his 13-year-old niece this week.
Igor Baksht told KMGH he thought he bought a PlayStation 4 for his teenage niece for Christmas but when he opened the box he found something different -- not quite coal, but close -- rocks, specifically two big bags of rocks.
"When I opened it I said, 'Oh my gosh!' You know," he said. He got the gaming console at Wal-Mart and when he confronted the store, he claims he got the runaround from various employees before being told the gaming console he'd purchased for his niece had been returned by a previous buyer. Apparently no one on the staff bothered to check inside the packaging before putting it back on the shelf.
Fortunately, Igor got his money back a short time later.
This type of scam is nothing new for Wal-Mart. There have been instances occasions over the last couple of years of people finding paper notepads in place of iPads they bought at the super store.
