The actor, born in Bossier City, Louisiana, turns 43 on December 26th. Now, we're taking a look back at his evolution from teen hottie to Oscar winner.
Jared melted hearts starring as a hunk in the '90s series 'My So-Called Life.' Though the show was short lived, Jared's success definitely wasn't. He appeared in 'The Thin Red Line,' 'Fight Club,' 'American Psycho' and 'Lord of War,' to name a few. Oh, and did we mention he doesn't just act? In1998, he founded the popular band Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Jared has managed to pull off an acting and music career for decades, and he had a massive hit last year. Jared made heads turn when he transformed into a transgender woman in the 2013 film, 'Dallas Buyers Club.' The role got him a Golden Globe for best supporting actor, followed by the coveted Academy Award.
