Kitten Saved After Almost Freezing To Death

An adorable kitten is getting a new start after she was found on the streets nearly frozen to death.

Vets at a Denver animal shelter say it wasn't looking good for the orange tabby when she was brought in Thursday morning - but they didn't give up.

"She was covered in snow, not moving. They were worried whether she was still alive. Initially, when she came in her temperature would not register on a thermometer...we put her on a bed of heating pads and warm bottles. We also administered warm IV fluids and used hair dryers to help warm her up."

And after a few hours of care the once-frozen kitten pulled through.

Doctors named her Elsa, after the Disney character in 'Frozen,' and say she's doing just fine.

They still don't know if the kitten had any owners, but if no one claims her soon they plan to put her up for adoption.
