Mother and daughter give birth on same day, at same hospital

It's a scene straight out of "Father of the Bride 2": A mother and daughter in Florida gave birth one the same day in the same hospital.

Heather Penticoff and her daughter Destinee Martin couldn't believe it when a doctor gave them the same due date nearly nine months ago. They were even more surprised when they delivered on the very same day at the same place.

AP reports that the mother-daughter duo both needed to be induced around the same time for separate medical reasons. Penticoff gave birth to a baby girl, Madeline. Before Martin had a chance to hang out with her new baby sister she delivered a son, Damien.

Martin told ABC-7 in Ft Myers that they were ecstatic to go through the process together.

Martin and Penticoff aren't the only ones who've been able to experience this incredible occurrence. Last year, Justina and her mother Jill Davis managed to also give birth on the same day, at the same hospital. And a few years earlier, a mother and daughter in California delivered their babies within just 15 hours of each other.
