Why Tom Colicchio loves the latest city to host 'Top Chef'

Chef and restauranteur Tom Colicchio is back at the judges' table for another season of Bravo's hit foodie series 'Top Chef.' The new season, which debuted on October 15, takes viewers to the clam chowder capital, Boston, Massachusetts.

Perhaps no one seemed happier to be in Boston than Colicchio. "The quality of chefs and restaurants - it's amazing," he told The Boston Globe. "Boston just doesn't get the respect that Chicago or San Francisco get. It's better here than in San Francisco, and you can quote me on that."

Beyond its location, each season is differentiated by the esteemed guest judges they bring on. This season, everyone from Todd English to Ming Tsai to Emmy Rossum stop in.

In a recent interview with People, Colicchio exposed what guest judges he'd love to have on the show. "Obviously it would be great to get the First Lady on or even the President, but they're a little busy these days," she shared. He also would love to see Wendell Pierce of 'Treme' and 'The Wire' on the show, who is a true food lover.
