Veteran newsman Tom Brokaw's cellphone went off while he was on MSNBC.

Brokaw's phone loudly rang while he discussed Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell's re-election to the U.S. Senate.

He did not, at first, realize the horribly loud alarm sound was coming from his own pocket and continued to talk.

Brokaw then paused, realized it was indeed his phone, and handled the mishap like an old pro.

"I'll remember to bring home the milk," he quipped. "I'll remember to walk the dog."

His fellow anchors laughed and moved on to the next segment.
