Football star Matt Light scares people at Marriott Hotel with 'Courtyard Camera'

Matt Light is no longer a former offensive lineman for the New England Patriots, but he can still be a pretty intimidating dude ... and by that we mean scare the heck out of other people.

It went down at a Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Light was wheeled in as a "mannequin" for people to take pictures with. Cue the screams.

Hilarious, right? It's a clever ad -- and especially fitting for a company that has adopted the slogan "Make room for a little fun."

Although USA Today called it what it was: an old trick.

"It's an old gag and it works, because frightening people is funny. See, they're scared. So it's funny."

Marriott is calling it Courtyard Camera. Remind you of another prankster?
