Meredith Vieira Admits To Not Wearing Underwear On 'The View'

On "The Colbert Report," Meredith Vieira revealed she used to go without a certain item of clothing on "The View."

"You said, 'I don't wear underwear.'"
"I did say that."
"Yes, which is why I believe they call it 'The View.'" (laughs)
"It's a daytime show, and you're supposed to be authentic, and I just felt... Why not?"

Meredith said she's known for blurting random things out, and that little revelation from her days at "The View" was one of them.

But at least she's in good company - Stephen admitted he also doesn't wear underwear on his show.

But at least Meredith was wearing something while she co-hosted the show.

She told USA Today back in 2006 she just preferred to wear leotards and pantyhouse instead. Hey, to each their own.

Let's just hope she's been sporting undergarments on her newest venture, "The Meredith Vieira Show." The syndicated talk show airs on weekday mornings.
