A glimpse into rural poverty in the heartland of America
Sarah, the oldest of seven kids, lives in rural Missouri. Her single mother has struggled to support the family and now Sarah faces an uncertain path. Sarah once dreamed of becoming a radiation patient and supporting her family in a bigger house with plenty of guest rooms and a pool. However, her pregnancy at 15 has put increased pressure on the family's low-income and Sarah's academic and career aspirations.
