Recent photos show that Kim Jong-Un's iron grip on power extends even to nurseries and orphanages.

The North Korean dictator's return to the public eye produced bizarre images even for the reclusive communist state -- he was pictured playing with a Hello Kitty tea set.

Pictures show the despot touring the facility and pointing in the general direction of something, as is his custom, while others nod and grin in agreement.

He tours the brightly colored facility's more than 250 rooms while giving "field guidance," according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

The chosen one also plays with blankets, marvels at a ball pit and grins while looking at what appears to be a girl's nursery.

Kim is also shown walking up stairs, folding his arms and even playing a game of tea with a senior party official.

The dictator "expressed great satisfaction with their construction, saying they look very nice, the longer one watches them, the more splendid and fascinating they look," according to KCNA.

"He gave precious instructions for increasing the responsibility and role of the nurses and teachers," KCNA said.

Kim did not comment on or provide explanation for his mysterious disappearance earlier this year. He did appear to still be walking with a cane.
