Battle of the Beards: World Beard and Moustache Champions Crowned

With No-Shave November just days away, many of you out there will be enjoying your last few days of baby-faced bliss. These guys already have a pretty good head start on you ...

More than 300 contestants from 29 states and nine foreign countries descended on Portland, Oregon, this weekend for the annual World Beard and Moustache Championships.

Now, the goal for a competitor isn't just to have the longest or the largest facial hair -- it's about creating a look that quote "enhances his overall appearance, style, and personality."

There was an astonishing array of grizzly facial hair on display, from the impressively large to the immaculately stylized. There was even this quite majestic cheese puff-incorporated number.

The ceremony even reportedly featured a bizarre rap battle between Team Beard and Team Moustache, because why not? After naming winners in 18 different categories -- including au naturel beard and Salvador Dali mustache -- there could only be one true beard to rule them all ...

KPTV reports, "The overall winner for the Just For Men World Beard & Moustache Championships, Madison Rowley. Look at that, man."

But the event was not without controversy. See, there is another World Beard and Moustache Championship. The World Beard and Moustache Association, founded in 2004, hosts a biennial tournament in Europe.

We Support The True WBMC claims it is the only group with the authority to name a true, fuzzy-faced champion.
