The Mavericks settled for Chandler Parsons: Southwest Division preview
College Contributor Network
Our NBA preview series continues as we countdown to the October 28 tip off of the NBA season. This podcast illuminates the contentious Southwest division.
The San Antonio Spurs are the reigning NBA champions, and while they are the favorites to win the division again, there are questions surrounding who their best player is after the escalation of Kawhi Leonard's game as the Finals MVP.
Anthony Davis is quite possibly the third-best player in the NBA, and the most prolific in the division. Theo thinks there's a good chance he leads the Pelicans to the playoffs, but Khari still has faith in the continuity of the Grizzlies.
Further, after Chandler Parsons signed a three year, $46 million contract with Dallas, and Houston elected not to match, the Mavericks-Rockets battles will be cutthroat. Did the Mavericks overpay for the sharpshooter to spite the in-state rivals?
Khari and Theo discuss that and more evasive questions about the Southwest division in this episode of "The Give & Go with Khari and Theo."
