For the first time since their divorce, Amy Poehler is breaking her silence regarding her split from ex-husband Will Arnett.

In her new book "Yes Please" the 43-year-old "Parks and Recreation" star addresses her divorce from her husband of more than a decade.

She writes, "Imagine spreading everything you care about on a blanket and then tossing the whole thing up in the air. The process of divorce is about loading up that blanket, throwing it up, watching it all spin, and worrying what stuff will break when it lands. [...] getting a divorce really sucks."

While she doesn't go into the reasons for the split because she says they are too personal and sad, she admits she's grateful to have Arnett as the father of her two children, five year old Archie and four year old Abel.

Since formally separating in 2012, Poehler has found a new love, fellow comedian Nick Kroll. In fact, she acknowledges Kroll in her book, writing, "Thank you to Nick Kroll, who encourages me in all the right ways."

Arnett officially filed for divorce back in April.
