Robert Downey Jr. has text conversation with 'Thor'

Updated

Stars, they're just like us-- they have text message conversations with people posing as action heroes.

Robert Downey Jr., 49, shared a screenshot of a recent text message conversation between what can we assume is him and a text companion going by the name Thor. The caption jokingly read 'Nobody tell him about emoji.'

The conversation centers on the topic of self expression via cellphone, and a hysterical dialogue unfolds:

This cryptic text conversation certainly is timely. Downey Jr., who is best known for his role in "Iron Man," which has earned him the spot as the highest paid actor in Hollywood, has been regularly changing his tune about whether he'll reprise his role as Tony Stark in another "Iron Man" flick.

While promoting his film, "The Judge," which premiered this last weekend, the prolific actor told the Telegraph of his Marvel films, "Honestly, the whole thing is just showing the beginning signs of fraying around the edges. It's a little bit old. Last summer there were five or seven different ones out. I feel that they are critiqued by a different metric to any other movie."

He's also hinted that he may nab the role of another Marvel character in a future film. Though only time will tell on the Marvel front, this text conversation has plenty to keep our hopes high.

At the time of publishing, this photo on Downey Jr.'s Facebook page had over twenty thousand shares and over one hundred thousand likes.
