Father who lost son to enterovirus starts foundation in his honor
Four-year-old Eli died in his sleep on September 25 from the enterovirus D68. Eli's death is the first in the country from the virus.
He did not have any underlying conditions.
Eli had eyes that could steal your heart in an instant. He was the youngest in a set of triplets. He had two sisters.
He attended Yardville Elementary School in Hamilton Township in Mercer County, New Jersey.
To honor Eli, His parents have started "The First Day of School Foundation" for special education students starting school.
Waller is determined to do something good out of this tragedy. He hopes the "First Day of School Foundation" will carry his son's heart.
It is still unclear how or where the preschooler contracted the virus.
