The self-appointed king of all media draws a good amount of attention to himself. Between his hair and that big mouth of his, Stern constantly attracts critics and detractors. Yet, in the past couple of years more haters have come over to the Howard camp. They might not like his style, but anyone who listens to even a clip of his radio show will quickly realize he's one of the world's best interviewers. No other media personality has the quick wit and general smarts to take on some of Hollywood's most prepped actors, directors and producers.
In his career he's left a lot of dead bodies in his wake, once he even left Gild Radner so upset she cried as she walked out of one of his early radio interviews. Nevertheless, Stern carved out a career out of refusing to bow down to the generally benign tone of most PR-blitzes. When stars go on his show, they understand that they need to get real, open up, or go home. Above are some of his best interviews through out the years. You'll laugh, cringe, but mostly be left begging for more.
