Ashlee Simpson has a Christmas themed birthday party in October

Christmas came in October for singer Ashlee Simpson this year. For her 30th birthday yesterday, her husband Evan Ross celebrated in winter style with her and friends.

On Instagram he wrote about the "Christmas in California" theme that he made for Ashlee.

Ashlee and Evan recently married on August 31 at the Connecticut home of Evan's mother and singer Diana Ross.

Evan's wife looks happy in her snow boots and leopard jacket, and it's hard to tell that it was actually a hot day in California. Evan was not the only one who publicly wished her a happy birthday though. Her sister Jessica acknowledged the "dirty 30" with this pic.

Jessica then shared a few snaps of herself saying that she's ready to celebrate "30 years of having the best sister on the planet."
